Your Child's education is important to us.
Staffing
The aim of Playbase Nursery is:
- To provide an environment which will help children develop in a structured way and enable them to show their potential during the important "Early Years".
- To enable play to underpin all activity within the nursery. We recognise the need to nurture children's emotional, social, physical and cognitive progress, which complements the important learning that occurs at Home.
The key to achieving this is held by the Playbase Nursery Team.
Zoe Willams, Manager
Zoe was the head of our pre-school here at Playbase prior to becoming our registered manager, a position that she has flourished in.
Zoe’s extensive background in childcare and office management has provided her with the essential experience required for this role.
Zoe also has Jack, her son, a friendly face here at Playbase. After raising Jack, Zoe is all too aware of a parent’s needs when they place their child in Nursery care.
Zoe has a Higher National Diploma in child care as well as an extensive array or other specialised childcare courses. Zoe is a Paediatric First Aid trained, as are the majority of both our room and ancillary staff.
Mary Ellwood RGN
Mary has come from a nursing background. Prior to Playbase, Mary worked as a Staff Nurse at Royal Preston Hospital for eight years and has brought the knowledge and the experience that she gained there to the nursery.
Mary has since expanded her knowledge in this area by becoming a qualified Nursery Nurse, as well as a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recognised, Paediatric First Aid Trainer.
Our nursery nurses are only selected after rigorous assessment of their life skills, as well as a careful look at their reasons for wanting to help us achieve high standards of pre-school nursery care. NVQ at the best levels are a requirement, but so is a healthy, balanced attitude towards the care and development of each and every child.
